The Courses
Designed to familiarize participants with therapy’s role in LTC, equip them with efficient strategies for managing daily and weekly tasks, and facilitate collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Introduce basic skilled and long-term care payor sources, and how reimbursement works within a skilled nursing facility.
Dive into the fundamental aspects of screening, assessing, and intervening within the SNF/LTC setting in this comprehensive training. Gain a thorough understanding of defining screens, assessments, and interventions, as well as identifying reasons for screening, standardized assessments commonly used in LTC/SNF settings, and the rationale behind intentional interventions.
Train newly graduated therapists who are entering the workforce in LTC and SNFs on tips for time management, productivity, patient-centered care, and more.
Introduce requirements for good skilled documentation and payer requirements.
From daily notes to d/c, this training will cover all the key elements that go into good therapy documentation.
In this course, we review the fundamentals of what makes an evaluation accurate, and thorough.
Understand the foundational elements of self-care, mobility, and accuracy in documentation.
Help new grads understand the basics of the “Patient Driven Payment Model” (PDPM), Medicare’s payment system, including clinical categories and components.
Outline strategy for patient participation in therapy services; responses to declines to participate, advance preparation, addressing pain, working around patient schedules and creating motivation and engaging therapy.

Review the meaning of clinical programming in rehab and their purpose with shared examples from past programs and teams to motivate and inspire.
In this closing webinar we walk through a fictional day of a therapist/assistant in the LTC setting , reviewing various patients, potential barriers and situations, beneficial assessments, and different documentation samples with a multitude of clinical reference resources.
